DESIGN BUILD EXCELLENCE
Design Build is a delivery method in the construction industry which allows a project to be priced as construction drawings develop. PDD has worked with this method for decades and on countless projects. The advantage to our clients is having real-time costs which help forecast fees and prevent additional architectural and engineering fees, after the project has been permitted for construction.
PDD can provide design build services in two ways. One option is to be brought on board early in the schematic process and consult with the Owner or Architect to find solutions. This helps finalize the proposed design quicker.
The second option, PDD serves as the sole Contractor for the design and construction of the project. This method is used to minimize the risks for the project owner and reduce the delivery schedule by overlapping the design and construction phases.
In either scenario, PDD creates construction costs and schedules to help determine timing for the project. Alternates can also be suggested, if necessary, for long lead items which may cause delays.
